You can be up and running with this kit in about an hour of setup and planting seeds, and be harvesting within 7 - 10 days.  You can use the tray inserts to plant different varieties or to grow the same variety on different days.  A starter pack of coir and seeds for each tray is included.

Note, that grow lights are not designed to be used outdoors.  We show the different configurations possible with the shelf units, tray configurations, and grow lights connected and not connected. You choose how you want to configure it.

You can certainly buy each component of the grow kit directly in the store at your own pace. Many people start with the Bootstrap Farmer Trays, then after a while realise they need lights, then want some more trays and then realise they probably need to put them on a rack!
